Well, I finally finished another sketchbook! I love chronicling ideas and the like in book form, and have an entire case full of sketches, storyboards, and miscellany already. Most of the books read like, well books, with meticulously dated entries. After each book is complete, I put a “table of contents” in the front cover. The work itself contained in the books is sprawling and random.
Some books have had themes: The most recent was all done in calligraphy ink (so as to train myself to work with constraints of mistakes – no erasing!) and watercolor (sub in coffee for water – gotta love that ruddy brown undertone!). I’m excited to work with this new one – a good portion of each page is MISSING! Oh boy, my brain is in hyperdrive already!
So, enjoy today’s Daily Pixel. It’s not the HTML5 picture I had in mind, but I kinda like it anyway. It’s like a last minute party. In a retro sort of way.
